Women in Tech Asia, a grand scale movement and platform for women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), launched today with BBH Singapore, a creative agency, an acceleration program for genuine ideas combining creativity and technology.
The Moonshot Challenge is meant for anyone who wants to make a positive impact in the world. The program brings together tech innovators, entrepreneurs, scientists and marketers to see how the power of creativity combined with technology and science can lead to clever and amazing ideas that can change the world.
“Our aim is to inspire delegates to realise the possibilities they can make. They can submit their ideas for a 3-month long acceleration program, and will work together with BBH and the owner of the winning idea/s to develop a strategy, fine tune it and find the right partners and funding to make it a reality”, says Jenni Risku, founder of Women in Tech.
“We are thrilled of this opportunity to create something unique. Women in Tech brings together an amazing talent with women in technology and science, and we are excited to see what kind of ideas we get in after the workshop”, says Dillah Zakbah, creative technologist, BBH.
The Moonshot Challenge will be kicked off with a workshop during Women in Tech Conference Asia 2017 on the 20th September at Marina Bay Sands Expo.
This year’s agenda at Women in Tech presents leaders from business, academia and government from Accenture, Astropreneurs Hub,
Citibank, ETPL A*Star, Facebook, Google, GovTech, National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, Spotify, Unlockd and many more.
The event is supported by sponsors and community partners, including Accenture, CA Technologies, Facebook, Google, Dell, Schneider Electric, Ce La Vie, Female Founders, Lean In, FWA Singapore, and Women Who Code. Women in Tech is now organized for a second time in association with Singapore Week of Technology and Innovation (SWITCH).
