Melissa-Ann Chan is responsible for product marketing and go-to-market strategy on the Next Billion Users team at Google. The team is focused on building a set of new products and services that are aimed at addressing trends and needs of users in emerging markets.
Mel has been at Google since 2007 with stints in Sydney, San Francisco, and Singapore in a wide range of marketing and product development roles for both consumer and business users. In a past position, Mel led the technology roadmap for the launch of Google retail locations in the US and Europe, focusing on applications for experimental technology in retail analytics, hyperlocal advertising, and immersive branded experiences. Previously, she brought-to-market Google’s leading advertising platforms and led growth marketing and acquisition efforts for Google’s Asia Pacific publisher business. She is currently based in Singapore.
