Emily is the President & Co-Founder of FREDsense Technologies, and the winner of the 2018 She Loves Tech Global Startup Competition.
FREDsense is an early stage biotechnology company working on creating novel biosensors for contaminants in wastewater. Stemming from an award-winning project for the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) competition, the technology uses a unique combination of engineered bacteria and electrochemistry. Emily is involved in the wet lab as well as on the business end.
Emily graduated from the University of Calgary in 2013 with 1st Class Honors in a Bachelor of Health Science, Biomedical Sciences.
